The Regal Theatre Board of Trustees and Volunteers would like to thank our 90th Anniversary Ambassadors for their generous support.

A history of the Regal Theatre
Our Ambassadors were vital in celebrating the Regal Theatre during its 90th anniversary in 2024, continuing its legacy as a cultural center-piece in West Somerset.
The Regal, which opened on July 2, 1934, is a historic Art Deco building designed by architect Andrew Mather with a distinctive green pantile roof and corner tower. Originally a 1,250-seat cinema, ballroom, and cafe owned by Minehead Entertainments Ltd, it has evolved into a vital community-run arts venue operated by the Minehead Amateur Theatrical Association.
