Jim Broadbent and Penelope Wilton star in Rachel Joyce’s adaptation of her own bestselling novel about a man who goes to post a letter to an old friend and ends up walking 500 miles to deliver it in person.

Harold Fry (Broadbent) is an otherwise unremarkable man who is content to fade quietly into the background of life.  But when he learns that his friend Queenie is dying, he is moved to act.  On his way to the post box he realises that just posting a letter to her is not enough and in that moment decides to keep walking, all the way from his home in a seaside town in South Devon to Berwick-upon-Tweed, without a map or suitable clothing or footwear.

An uplifting tale of self-discovery, redemption and learning to seize the moment.
