The Barnstormers are delighted to be back performing live at the Regal. They have selected a group of monologues penned by their own members during Lockdown, to be performed ‘Talking Heads’ style in the first act.  Come and meet Ebony, a beautiful medieval queen who isn’t quite what she seems; 13-year-old Ryan who is struggling with his relationship with his estranged father; Kit, a world-weary prisoner tortured by his past; and Mrs Sarchet, a WI stalwart whose head is unexpectedly turned by the colonel down the road…..

The second act is a light-hearted one act comedy by Jilly McNeil. This tells the tale of an unfortunate amateur drama group trying to perform a period drama live on the radio. All is going well until the sound effect engineer goes AWOL, the young heroine collapses and the cast have to improvise with the help of the caretaker and an unlikely assortment of props and sound effects.

This promises to be a thought-provoking and varied evening’s entertainment from this award-winning local drama company.
