THE ROTARY CLUB OF MINEHEAD & THE QUANTOCKS present URBAN VOICE in their 10th anniversary concert.
Dynamic, energetic and talented local choir, URBAN VOICE, celebrate 10 years with a concert of their favourite songs through the years, which will include well-known hits from pop to musicals, gospel and folk – all in their inimitable ‘big sound’ style. Come along and join their celebrations with this very special concert that promises to be the best yet!
Rotary International has been involved in the eradication of Polio since 1985 when people in 125 countries had this dreadful disease. Now there are only 2 countries (Afghanistan & Pakistan) which still have Polio. Africa is about to be designated Polio free after Nigeria had its last case over a year ago. India has been Polio free for 5 years. We are now very close to eradicating Polio from the World. There is still a need for the immunisation of children under 5 years old. Proceeds from this special concert will go towards funding the End Polio Now project.
