The choir was formed in 1911 and is one of the oldest choirs in Wales and has appeared in the Royal Albert Hall in the presence of the Queen and HRH Prince Phillip.
The choir performs for local national and international charitable institutions. Mcmillan Nurses, LATCH the Welsh Children’s Cancer charity, the NSPCC, have all been provided with financial
assistance from concerts on an annual basis for several years. The choir of male voices are very fortunate to have Matthew Lewis as M/D. Matthew joined the choir as an accompanist at the tender age of eleven years old.
The current accompanist is the very accomplished Elisabeth Scourfield Jones. Elisabeth is a life member of the choir.
