In this beloved Lerner & Lowe musical pompous phonetic professor Henry Higgins, played by Rex Harrison, is so sure of his abilities that he takes it upon himself to transform a Cockney working-class girl Eliza Doolittle, played by Audrey Hepburn, into someone who can pass as a cultural member of high society. Higgins and Eliza form an unlikely bond which is threatened by an aristocratic suitor, played by Jeremy Brett.
