Thursday, 21st September, 2017 - 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
After months of planning and discussions with the emergency services we are now planning a joint training exercise to strengthen our preparations to maintain and improve safety in the Regal Theatre in the event of an emergency.
The Regal Theatre in collaboration with all the emergency services, will carry out this joint training exercise on
Thursday 21st September 2017 6-30 pm to 9-00pm approx.
This important exercise requires an audience who would normally be in the theatre on a performance night, and it will be run as though it is a normal event. The volunteers who run the theatre on a performance night will be at their posts on the night, and those not on duty will form part of the audience. The event will be ticketed in the normal way but without cost to participants. Ideally we need a minimum of 100 people of mixed age and ability, with an advisory lower age limit of 14. It will involve an emergency procedure and briefing will be given beforehand.
It would be greatly appreciated if you would accept our invitation to join the exercise. It will greatly help the volunteers with their training and may even be an eye opener for you! It will also show the Fire Brigade how professional our organisation tries to be.
Audience participants will receive a ticket on entry, but we need to know in advance if you wish to attend.
Please email M.A.T.A. Vice-Chair, and part of the organising team, Colin Isherwood, who will register your attendance and answer any questions you may have.
