The newly formed professional ensemble the Chamber Orchestra of the West are hosting a pilot scheme across Somerset during the first week of December.  The ensemble, whose long-term aim is to bring world-class orchestral music to communities across Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, will visit smaller venues, unconventional performance spaces and less-visited corners of the area.

The orchestra will be working with community groups and appearing in unexpected locations in and around Minehead, Yeovil and Taunton from November 30 to December 4, culminating with a performance in Minehead’s Regal Theatre.  You can keep up to date with developments on their website.

On December 4 the ensemble present an eclectic programme at the Regal, led by renowned violinist, Somerset resident and Artistic Director Jacqueline Shave.

You can keep up to date with developments on their website, on Facebook @ChamberOrchestraoftheWest and on twitter @OrchestraWest
