Saturday July 17 4.00pm (See below for second concert at 7.30pm)
The internationally acclaimed Carducci String Quartet will give a concert at the Minehead Regal on Saturday July 17, marking the return of live music to the theatre after an absence of more than a year.
The programme will feature Dvorák’s wonderfully lyrical and uplifting String Quartet no 12 (the ‘American’) and Beethoven’s String Quartet Op. 18, No. 4.
Because Covid restrictions remain in place, the Carducci Quartet will hold two concerts featuring the same programme to accommodate the need for a socially distanced seating in the Regal auditorium. The first concert will begin at 4.00pm and the second at 7.30pm, and the programme will last for approximately one hour.
The Anglo-Irish Carducci Quartet is recognised as one of today’s most successful music ensembles and has won numerous international competitions, performing at prestigious venues across the world, including the Wigmore Hall in London, The Frick Collection and Carnegie Hall, New York, and John F Kennedy Center in Washington.
