AVALON – The Birth of a Legend
The final battle of Camlann is over and Arthur lies dying of his mortal wounds at the Abbey of Glastonbury. The civil war has been costly and nobody’s really sure who has won. The family are gathering like carrion, though each with their own agenda. Into the maelstrom stumbles Amergin; a travelling bard and his sister Rhiannon.
Outside, the civil war is over, but inside the walls of the abbey it’s just beginning. Will the illicit lovers Guinevere and Bedywyr succeed in turning Arthur into a Christian martyr to ease the pain caused by their part in his downfall, or will his sister Morgan succeeds in claiming him for the old gods? Of course, she has many a trick up her sleeve, but there are also a few surprises that even she hadn’t bargained for.
