A.J.’s Big Band, the West Country’s premier 17 piece swing band, returns to the Regal Theatre in its thirty-third year playing memorable music from the golden age of the big bands that helped to prop up morale during the war torn years of the Thirties and Forties. Who can forget Glenn Miller’s Moonlight Serenade, In the Mood, Little Brown Jug and American Patrol? Songs made famous through The Andrew Sisters – Chattanooga Choo Choo and Bugle Boy as well as Vera Lynn’s White Cliffs of Dover and We’ll Meet Again.
Great arrangements from top West Country musicians led by saxophonist Ken Parr and superb vocals from songstress, Paula Mitchell will help these magical memories be re-lived. Truly, a great afternoon of nostalgia, singing and remembering. It’s the best party in town!
