The Regal Film Society launches its 2010/11 season with a public fund-raising performance of The Ghost Writer.
Polanski brings his characteristic sense of atmosphere and suspense to this well crafted thriller, based on the novel by Robert Harris, about a former British prime minister – who may or may not be based on Tony Blair – who appoints a ghost writer to write his memoirs with cataclysmic consequences. Stars Pierce Brosnan, Ewan McGregor, Olivia Williams and Kim Cattrall.
