A unique blend of expert musicianship and comic genius. The Temperance Seven are masters in the art of Hot Dance Music of the 20s and 30s which they play with a feeling of fun and spontaneity bubbling close to the surface.
In 1957 a group of jazz loving art students decided to have ‘blow’ in the local hostelry, and 2009 sees The emperance Seven celebrate 52 years of fun filled jazzing. Those who remember their number one hits in the 60s – Pasadena and You’re Driving Me Crazy will understand why they were in hot demand on radio, TV and Royal Command Performances. All the members of the band love what they are doing and convey this sense of enjoyment to their audiences.
