Gala Film - Love in the Time of Cholera

The Regal Film Society opens its 2008/9 season with a gala fund-raising performance open to the public.

An ambitious and sumptuously filmed English language adaptation of Gabriel Garcia Márquez’s epic novel, set in Colombia at the turn of the 19th Century, tells the story of a man’s lifelong passion for a woman who marries another man. Javier Bardem plays the traditional romantic hero and Benjamin Bratt his rival, a man of science who belongs to the new century. The performance is open to the public, and tickets cost £2 for members and £4 for non-members.
