With such classic hits as “Sweets For My Sweet”; “Needles and Pins”; “Don’t Throw Your Love Away” and “When You Walk In The Room”, The Searchers have contributed enormously in establishing the UK as the world’s leading nation in the music industry. With total record sales well in excess of 40 million, their recent compilation album ‘The Very Best of The Searchers’, which includes all of their hits, has seen a recent welcome and deserved return to the UK charts. No doubt the decade that gave us The Beatles, The Searchers and many others, was unique and pervades all cultural and age barriers today.

The Searchers continue touring the globe as much today as they have done throughout a fantastic career now remarkably spanning 5 decades. They have devised a ‘special’ solo concert for UK touring, which will appeal to all ages. It is a highly entertaining concert which has been enthusiastically and warmly received throughout the world.

The fully self-contained concert includes all their famous hits, plus many of their original album recordings, B-sides and a selection of other collector and well known favourites.

TICKETS: Adults £17.50, Friends £17.00, ES40’s/Students £10.00, Student Friends £9.50

Another outstanding film from the Regal’s first season, presented by Minehead Conservation Society in association with the Regal Film Society. The 1934 Scarlet Pimpernel is the definitive screen version of Baroness Orczy’s famous novel, with a witty script by the author herself and a wealth of attractive period detail. Leslie Howard stars as Sir Percy Blakeney, with Merle Oberon and Raymond Massey and numerous cameo roles including Nigel Bruce as the Prince of Wales and Ernest Milton as Robespierre.

We are once again grateful to the British Film Institute for making an original 35mm print available, and to projectionists Edward and Robert Taylor for bringing this classic costume drama back to the big screen for the first time in many years.

TICKETS: Adults £4.00, Friends, Film Society Members, Minehead Conservation Society Members, Students/ ES40s £2.00
